The most beautiful flower

1-whatever will be, just do it

I sit in my classroom, right behind my best friend, Petunia.
We had been friends from the 6th grade, we are now in the 8th grade.
Petunia and I are kinda the opposite. She loves science and I love art.
Is weird how we are friends.
My classmates sometimes irritate me. I don't know what is in their hearts, but they are not kind to me. They like to mock me. I know, I am not good at science, so can you stop criticizing me?

“Look at me! I have a grade of 98 on science! While you have a grade of 90!” says oliver
I did not answer her. She is always like that.
“I'm the smartest student in this class!” says oliver
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” says edward the loud kid. He is always like this, and it starts to irritate me.

“Why is our class like this?” I asked to Petunia
“Idk, they have been under the influence of social media addiction” she sighed “I find it hard to put into words. But I guess were same”
“I guess this is how our life will be for 9 month” she said
“I hate homeworks, they are stealing my time to do things I love.
Home is for resting, not for solving X” I said
“And home is not for remembering what happened 80 years ago” she said
“Well, this is the reason we are best friends” she said

“Other than you, I don't have that many friends. Everyone is just nor interesting to me. I just feel they are zombies, just mindlessly scrolling, "I said.
I don’t know what happened to me, but I just feel that I have wasted a lot of time.
I just should fill my time when I was young doing art. Not wasting time on a dull day.
I just wait someone or something to just help me when I can do it myself” I said
“Couldn’t agree more” she said

“Why do I just feel that my life is breaking apart? Like I feel that my life isn’t as it was. Time passes, teacher in. explain about stuff that probably are not gonna be useful. I don’t need no thought control. I am trapped in a system that destroys creativity and individuality. We are only seen by only numbers and nothing else. The system doesn’t care if you are an artist that creates songs loved by millions, get a grade of 10 in science then you are useless.

And school is over. And my problem isn’t resolved yet.
Cause no one loved me in my home.
My brother is just acting ruthlessly.
And my mom and dad is always make my brother their favorite child
They don’t care if I got even a grade of 100 on science. They always put their love for my brother.

“Stop doing arts! What can it do to you for the future!?
And stop scrolling on your phone, go study science!” said my mom one time while my brother was scrolling on his phone.
And my brother, he is just so spoiled, he always mocks me, in body language or verbally. And back to my mother, she is a hypocrite.
“You're always in a bad mood! Why are you always sad!” said my mom
While she is the reason for my depression

Sometimes I just want to get in a dark room full of carbon dioxide

2-It only adds. I don’t understand how it subtracts.

It was 3 pm, so school was over.
School is around ~1 km from my house, so I walk to school.
It is afternoon, so the warm light of the sun hit my face

“Why is homework stealing my time” I said with frustration
“Oh yeah, what the homework is all about?” I asked to Petunia
“If I can remember correctly, is about cells” she answered
“Can you just do an overview while we walk?” I answered
“Yes.
So there are 2 types of cells in the animalia kingdom, animal cells and plant cell
Only plant cells have a cell wall and chloroplast.
Both animal and plant cells have a nucleus, rough RE, golgi apparatus and other stuff.
Not gonna lie, this complexity is just beautiful” she explain with a pleasant voice

“It’s kinda weird that you think that science is beautiful is full of nonsensical thing” I replied
“It’s a long subject, so lets sits down at that chair” she said
So we sat down in a chair in between two trees

“Look at that flower.
It has many white petals with a yellow center. Or as we called it, daisy. It's also made of uncountable numbers of plant cell, each cell filled with billion of atoms” she said

“Yeah, but with that statement you kinda made a notion that every flower is just ‘a collection of atoms’. Which made the flower a dull thing” I answered

“That's what you don't see. This flower carries the story of the universe, story of our earth and the story of evolution of flowers” she replied

“How?!” I answered in surprise

“You see, every atom that was heavier by lithium was mostly created from a star, a cosmic furnace. When the big bang happened, only three elements were created. Hydrogen, helium and a little bit of lithium…”

“What is the big bang?” I cut his conversation
“Basically the event that starts the universe”
“Why was the name so weird, like why the name is big bang?!” I asked in confusion

"It’s a mocking name made because the big bang theory states that the universe starts in ‘an explosion’ and the name stuck. Anyway, let's continue my explanation.
These clouds of hydrogen start to collapse on itself, creating a star.
Before I continue, keep in mind that a star is in equilibrium. Gravity that try to compress the star and nuclear fusion that try to blow apart the star
Gravity starts to heat the core to billions of celcius. Make the electron fly away from the protons. With this heat, protons start to fly at a very fast speed. When they collide, there is a chance that quarks inside of the protons…”

“Uhh, please stop. I don't want to dive too deep” I said while I cut off her conversation.

“Ok, it seems you don’t want to dive into QCD and QED. Moving on.
These hydrogen atoms become heavier atoms like carbon, nitrogen etc.
After millions of years, gravity wins. And the star goes supernova, spewing its guts into the early universe. Enriching the cosmos with these heavy element”
She said with a calming voice

“Wow……” I said in surprise

“These elements settle in some corner of the Milky Way. In some planet filled with molten rock, or as we like to call it, earth. These elements dilute in earth's early hot ocean. Until someday, these elements make a bacteria.
How and why this bacteria forms….. Uh… we don’t know. Like any living thing on earth, this bacteria starts to make offspring. This bacteria's offspring DNA is slightly different from its parent. One with the “bad” DNA dies sooner, unable to pass its genes. One with the “good” parent lives to pass its genes. One of those has become a green algae. This green algae makes an offspring, this offspring goes to colonize the land. This land colonizer became many types of plant. These algae offspring start to adapt to their environment. One becomes trees, others become grass, others become flowers.

The flower offspring each adapt to their environment, one has their petals colored blue, one has them red and so on…
And this daisy is the result of billions of evolution” she result her explanation a calming voice

I scratched my petals hearing that.

“Science, which is a boring thing filled with numbers and this gibberish thing. Become this amazingly beautiful thing. I mean, my experience with science is waking at 9 pm doing my homework or learning for tomorrow.” I replied to her nerdy rant about science

“Yeah, but I can agree with that. I can agree that school sucks.
But if you put behind what school made you think about science. Science is the way for us to know the universe. As a result, we now know the complexity of the universe. It only adds. I don’t understand how it subtracts.” she said

“No, i'm not buying it” I replied with a straightforward voice

“That's okay, everyone has their different opinion on the world. You love art, and I love science” she replied

“Oh dear, it's nearing 5 PM, my mom is going to kill me!” I says with a worried voice
“oh, here come another rant from my mom about why my brother is better” I said with a monotone voice
“Yeah, let's run now before our mom scolds us.”
So we started to run to our house. I feel the wind coming to my face.
I started to think, am I really that beautiful. Am I really made of stars?
Do I have such an interesting story?
I mean, Petunia makes a long rant about how my kind appears on earth, not gonna lie, that process has such an amazing complexity.
Gravity crushed stars, and the stars started to battle the gravity. Which create heavier atoms.
Then, the star explodes in an interstellar burst, spewing its gut into the universe.
The ashes fall into a planet in a corner of the Milky Way, showering the planet with rich elements for life.
Life was created from star ashes. Creating a bacteria, the bacteria now is the ancestor of every animal on earth. Really making me think about the beauty of me

Am I really that beautiful?

No, I don't think so. I'm just a lazy girl who has low grades

3-the cosmos are within us

I was walking to Petunia house, under the dark night sky. Lonely, just like me.
“Oh, hello Earendel” she said with a comforting voice
“Can I meet Petunia?” I asked
“Yes, you should come in” she answered
I walked to her bedroom, which is on the 2nd floor. I knocked on her bedroom door.
“Uhh, who is it?” she said while opening the door
“Oh, hello Earendel. Are you here to do homework?” she said
“Yes” I answered
“So how do we start?” I asked
“Hmmm, let's just start with about what is a cell” she answered

So we start doing the homework, and she just does most of the homework. Yeah, I'm not exactly the best at science.
“That's it! We have done our homework!” she said excitedly
“Do you understand?” she asked
“No. I just copied your words into my notebook.” I answered
She giggles hearing my answers
“Let's see what book I should read today… hmm, maybe cosmos” she said while grabbing the book from the bookshelves
“Can I read some of your books?” I asked
“Of course you can” she answered
I grabbed a picture folder, and inside is filled with this spiral picture?
“Petunia, what is this spiral picture?” I asked

“Oh, it's the Milky Way galaxy.
The Milky Way galaxy it's the place you live, you feel. You will live your entire live here”
“MY entire life!?”I said
“Yes, you born and die in this spiral thingy” she said
“I’m really that insignificant, am i?” I asked
“No! In fact, each and every cell is made from stars like the one you see when on the road!”
“Wanna hear about the story?” she said

“Hmm, maybe yeah. Let’s see another nerdy rant from you” I answered
“Let's just expand on what I explained yesterday.
1st of all, let's do particle physics 101.
Every object is mostly made out of atoms, atoms are made of positively charged protons, neutrally charged neutrons and negatively charged electrons. And protons and neutron sit inside the nucleus.
There is a special type of particle called antimatter. They are just like normal matter but have the opposite electric charge. And when they meet they annihilate each other. You understand?”

“Lets just said I understand” even though I don't understand
“So, the universe begins with a big bang, the big bang is just basically the expansion of space from a singularity to billions of years wide.” she said
“Science is kinda weird to be honest” I said

“Ummm… yeah…” she said “and guess what, science breaks at this point! This singularity thing has infinite density and temperature. So we have literally little idea about the very first moments of the universe.

‘What I cannot create, I do not understand!’”
“Our best model suggests that after like a very very very very short time after the big bang. The universe was a super hot soup, so hot that forces of nature combined”
“What? How are forces combined?” I asked
“Yeah, science can take us to the weirdest answers” she answered
“At this moment universe was so hot, trillions of time hotter that the surface of the sun”

“After this, the universe expanded so quickly. From a cell to a galaxy in less time for a blink. This makes tiny fluctuations amplified to the size of galaxies. Making some part of the universe than other
Because of that, particles were created. Like the building blocks of atoms I discussed earlier.”

“I see” I said
“Now for an event that make us alive” she said
“Which is?” I asked
“Our theory predicts that an equal amount of matter and antimatter were created. And if that is the case, there will be no matter in the universe because matter and antimatter annihilated. Basically matter and antimatter is like fire and water, when they meet they destroy each other.
In a weird twist, more matter was created. Why was more matter created? We don’t know.”
“So if matter and antimatter were equal amounts, I wouldn’t exist?”
“Yes, that is correct!”

“Anyway, so… after a very short time period. Protons are created, protons are the building blocks of atoms. And a few thousand years later atoms were created.
Remember about tiny fluctuations that make some parts of the universe denser and some parts don’t?” she asked
“Yes” I said

“Because of that” she asked “the parts that are denser begin to attract matter, making them denser.
At this point, there are the types of atoms. Hydrogen, one of the ingredients of water, Helium, which makes balloons float and a little bit lithium, which is the ingredient of batteries.”

“Wait… I heard that I was made out of carbon, how is carbon created when there was none when the big bang created?” I asked

“That is a great question!” she said “I will discuss it now. When those atoms clump together, thanks to gravity. They started to become hot, like really hot. Gravity to compact those atoms, further heating them up. Until nuclear fusion occurs.”
“Actually, can you completely explain nuclear fusion” I asked
“But it will be complicated…” she said
“Uhhh. actually no.” I said

“Basically, when 2 atoms (which is usually hydrogen) combine to form bigger atoms, that is called nuclear fusion. Nuclear fusion is really hard to achieve, it needs high temperature and pressure.
Star is in a balance of 2 forces. Gravity, which tries to crush the star. And nuclear fusion to blow away the star. Now let’s go back to the 1st stars she asked. As I said, those stars are made of hydrogen, helium and lithium.
Because of the abundance of gas in the beginning of the universe. This creates truly enormous stars, their masses are tens to hundreds of times heavier than the sun. This makes those star’s cores crushed, heating them up to billions of kelvin.”

“This makes nuclear fusion in their core go into overdrive to battle the forces of gravity. Because of this, those stars convert hydrogen into heavier atoms faster. Heavier atoms need higher temperatures to merge. Until iron, iron fusion is not helping the star support its weight. So their lifetime is short, 1 million years compared to our sun's 10 billion year lifetime. Remember what I said about nuclear fusion?”
“So that's how carbon atoms are created! When hydrogen comes into stars at the beginning of time. They are fused with other hydrogen and formed heavier atoms, like carbon!”

“You are very much correct!” she said as she patted my shoulder
“You are much smarter than you think, don’t let their word come into your heart!”
“What happens when the star runs out of hydrogen?” I asked

“When that happened. Gravity collapses the star core into black hole. While the other layer explodes in a bright flash of light. That is called a supernova. Supernovae can outshine an entire galaxy!
When Those stars go supernova, they spew out gasses that will be used by stars in the future. This goes on for billions of years. Making heavy elements for life to thrive. Those stars clump together in a structure, or as we called it, galaxies.”

“In one corner of the Milky Way galaxy, there was a cold cloud of gas. That cloud is called a protostellar nebula. Because of a supernova, this nebula started to spin. Fragmenting itself into tens of parts so they start to drift away. Each part begins to collapse on itself, this goes for thousands of years. until a small hot ball was formed in the middle. After a few thousand years, the star undergoes nuclear fusion and begins to shine. Because of this, the young star blows away the gas that formed it. Before the star blows away the gasses, there is a time for planets to form. Leftover gasses from the star formation is called Protoplanetary disk.
Thanks to gravity, some parts of the disk began to attract other parts, compressing the disk. This gravitational collapse forms planetesimals. And those planetesimals began to attract each other, forming bigger clumps.

When near the star, the protoplanetary disk is heated up. Causing volatile chemicals that need to form gas giants are blown away to the colder part of the disk. This process repeats for around 10 million years. Until there are dozens of planetary embryos, those planetary embryos begin to collide with each other. This heats the planetary embryos, while the other part cools down, the core of those planetary embryos are still hot.

This line where volatile chemicals can exist is called the snow line.
One of the clumps that form begin to attract gasses. The farther planetary embryos begin to attract gasses. These gasses clump up to form the 1st planet, jupiter. Saturn form shortly after, followed by uranus and neptune
And terrestrial planet formation follows soon after.”

I sighed “the solar system truly carries the most interesting story I have ever heard” I said while I lay in her bed
“I know right!” she said “the universe truly have the most beautiful objects
“I wish we could stay forever. But Sorry, it's nearing 9 PM, you must go home.” she said
I sighed, I know what will come.
“Bye.”

I walked out of her house to my personal hell.
Thinking about that, my atoms have so much complexity that it is beautiful.
First, the universe is in chaos. Forces were unified, temperatures reached trillions of celsius.
Then, the universe cooled. Cool enough to form particles. Those particles create atoms. And those atoms collapses into a star
The star fuses hydrogen into heavier atoms. And the star exploded in an interstellar burst. Spreading its ashes into every corner of the galaxy.
In a corner of the galaxy, a cloud collapses to form a star and planets
That means that every part of my body originates from a star, which is very poetic.
Am I really that beautiful? Maybe not

4-the beauty of a living thing

“Are you okay last night?” she said.
“No.” I answered
“It’s okay. You will get over it, you're not lazy. You have this amazing art talent” she said while smiling while patting my shoulder
I sighed, “life is tough. I just need to get over it. And am I that uninteresting? Do I have something interesting?”

“wait… I remember you taught yesterday about how the earth was formed. Can you continue that story?”

“Huh, it seems you are interested in science. That's good! That means I can explain more about science!”
“So you already know about stardust. How elements come to earth… etc… etc…”
“Yeah…” I said
“Billion of years ago, in some places in the ocean, hydrothermal vents could be found. In those places water is heated and mixes from magma. Mixing the superheated water with chemicals.”
“So basically” I asked “old earth is like a boiling pot of chemicals, but why is the earth hot?”
“Well, billions of years ago, the earth was bombarded by a meteor.” she explained “This makes the earth hot, like 1000 degrees celsius hot.”

“Anyway ,Those vents spew out sulfur into the ocean, eventually the sulfur gets carried to the seafloor. There is a possibility that some bacteria can digest sulfur. Those bacteria live near the vents, they convert sulfur to hydrogen sulfide”
“How big is a billion?”I asked
“Do you know a second?” she answered
“Yeah…” I answered
“1 billion seconds is 31 years!” she answered
“1 billion seconds is 31 years! Imagine 1 billion years!” I answered

“Anyway, continuing the explanation. Those bacteria that consume sulfur are a part of prokaryotes. Prokaryotes are some of the 1st life forms on earth. There is another species that lived in this time period, cyanobacteria. Cyanobacteria have the ability to photosynthesis, they convert CO2 to O2. they actually caused the 1st extinction event, the great oxidation event.”
“REALLY?! Bacterias caused an extinction event?! Aren’t they weak and small?”I asked

“Well” she answered “in the past, cyanobacterias had no competition. So they’re numbers skyrocketed.”
“Wait, you haven’t explained about prokaryotes. Can you tell me about them?”I asked
“Oh yeah, if I forgot. Prokaryote is a type of cell with no nucleus, so they’re DNA just floats around. Prokaryotes is the most basic cell. And if you forget, DNA is the code for life. In simple terms” she explained

“You don’t mind if I ask you many questions?” I asked
“It’s okay! I get happy when you ask questions. I mean, science is about curiosity” she answered while smiling with an excited voice
“What comes after prokaryotes?” I asked
“What comes after prokaryotes? Eukaryotes! They are just like prokaryotes, but with added complexity! Also ,eukaryotes are a major milestone in the history of life. Eukaryotes have the type of cell you have. Eukaryotes convert oxygen to energy. In the past, eukaryotes were much more primitive. How primitive eukaryotes became eukaryotes of today?” she asked

“I don't know, maybe they just grow that ability?” I answered
“They “eat” another species!”
“That’s crazy!” I answered
"One of the species is engulfed by eukaryotes. The species consumed provide production of energy, and the eukaryotes provide protection. And those cells became reliant on each other. In the present day, there is 2 type of eukaryotic cells, plant cell and animal cells” she explained

“But what are those species that the eukaryotes “eat”?.
They are mitochondria and eukaryotes!. mitochondria converts sugar to energy. Mitochondria exist in animal and plant cells. chloroplast converts light into energy. Chloroplast exist in plant cells”

“So I'm making energy from chloroplast and mitochondria?”
“Yes! Your life is mostly supported by those 2 things!” she said
“For Now, those cells are still unicellular, they are just a single cell. After some time, those cells start to clump up into bunches to protect themself against predators. One of the benefits of this is that they can produce sexually. The benefits of producing sexually are that they can delete “bad” traits faster.
Now, I’m not going to discuss the evolution of fishes. I'm just skipping to the plant section. The 1st multicellular plant is marine green and red algae.
Earth land before plants come into the land is like a desert.”

“But can you explain that later on?” I asked
“Of course! But I will explain it later.” she answered
“Yeah, but why do you want to explain it later?” I asked
“Today, I just want to explain about flowers!” she answered
“So you want to explain about me?” I asked
“Yeah!” she answered
“Thank you! This was like a gift to me. Anyway, continue the explanation!” I answered

“So, because of plants, minerals in the land are carried to the oceans. This causes a massive plant to bloom in the ocean. Sucking oxygen from the water. This causes global cooling. Which is the cause of the 1st mass extinction!
Note : although plants may cause the 1st extinction event. You can’t put the blame on them, tectonic activities participate in the cause of this.

Plants also assist in the development of soil, they produce organic matter, improve the stability of soil and other stuff.
So yeah, your present on earth matters! Don’t say that you are useless!”
I sighed “maybe you're right. Maybe I need to ignore her words” I answered

“That's the spirit! I will be here for all of your rants” she said with a joyful voice while patting my shoulder
“Thanks” I answered, while smiling

“In fact, you have such an interesting history!” she said
“Your ancestors (known as angiosperms) first emerged during the Early Cretaceous period around 130 million years ago. Those primitive flowers looked very different from most modern flowers. They were small, with simple petals, and lacked nectar guides to draw in pollinators. The development of flowers with enclosed reproductive organs that attracted insects opened a new era in plant evolution, paving the way for the amazing diversity of floral forms and colors we enjoy today.”
“My ancestor has come a long way from a small simple flower to complex double flowers” I said

“Yeah!
Double flowers are some of the most beautiful things. They survived because they attract insects to pollinate them”
“When insect starts to pollinate flowers” I asked

“pollinators appeared around 100 million years ago. Each plant species often had its own specialized pollinator for efficient fertilization. The rise of insect pollinators was important to the success of angiosperms, bringing beautiful flowers to the face of the earth.”
“Flowering plants make up about 90% of all plant species living today. Flowers play pivotal ecological roles, including supplying food, supporting complex interactions between plants and animals, and maintaining balanced ecosystems. And that is the hidden beauty of you.”

“Wow….
Evolution really brings us some of the most beautiful life form on the face of earth” I said
“Yeah!” she said
“So… Can you explain about evolution?”

“Well…
Evolution started with saying that every living thing is unique. Some flowers have 5 petals, some are yellow, some are blue, some are pink, some have 10 petals and so on…
Each living thing's properties are defined by the DNA, DNA tells if you are blue, pink, yellow, white or you have 3 or 5 petals. Now, every DNA is unique, so no 2 living thing are the same
Why do flowers have such diversity? Well, when 2 flowers want to make a child. They DNA combine, to forms 1 flower”
“So I'm the combination of my parents?” I asked
“Yes, you are correct.

Continuing about evolution… mutation, which is the changing of DNA. Sometimes mutation is good, sometimes it is bad, sometimes it is neutral.”
“So that why flowers come in different shapes” I said
“Yes, that is also the reason that are many animal on earth

Now, let’s move to selection. Each living thing is subjected to its environment. Some environments are though, those living things with the right mix of genes can survive, and those who do not die . Those who survive carries it to its descendants
An example of this is a penguin. Some million of years ago, some animals were in antarctica. Some animals have thick fat layers, making them survive. Those who survive pass thing fat gene to their descendant ”

“So that why some flower are more resistant to cold and another flower can resist heat” I asked

“Yep! That is correct!” she said
“I really had some interesting story” I said
Life is created from simple chemicals, first there are sulfur-eating bacteria, which is a part of prokaryotes.
Prokaryotes evolved into eukaryotes, and eukaryotes eat another species.
Those eukaryotes evolved according to their environment. And some algae come out from the ocean to colonize land.
Pollinators came up to help them, and double flowers came. Because of evolution, thousands of flower types come to the face of the earth.
Really make me think about the beauty of me. I am the product of millions of years of evolution.
Am I beautiful? Maybe yes

5-the way for the cosmos to know itself

“Hello” as petunia said when she enter my room
“So, what are your problems?” she asked

I sighed “is just the usual”
“Oh I see” she said “life is tough, you need to get over it. Don’t let them control your emotions”
“Sorry for having a weak heart. Like, why am I always tired and unhappy. Is just the same thing everyday, nothing new. The same knife was thrown to my heart.”

“Earendel, you are not useless. Remember what I told you about the universe”
She start to lies on my bed
“There is problem about the perfection on the universe” she said
“What is it?” I asked
“The fine tuning problem. Why is our universe so perfect?” she answered
I lied on my bed laying beside her

“Our universe” she explained “has some physical constants. 40, more or less. What is interesting is that when those physical constants change even just a very miniscule quantity, we would not exist.”
“Really? Is the universe that sensitive?” I said
“Well, yes. Take gravity. If it is stronger, stars would have to burn their fuel faster, making time to life to develop shorter. Even if the increase was 5%, the sun's lifespan would decrease by 1.2 billion years and earth will get 9 - 10% closer to the sun. and that is only 5% increase”

“What happened to us?” I asked
“I don’t know exactly what life would be like if the universe was like that. But maybe we wouldn’t exist.
Another constant is the electromagnetic constant”
“What is the electromagnetic thingy?” I asked
“Well, basically. Electromagnetic force is the combination of electric and magnetic force.” she said
“You know magnets?” she asked
“Yes, when 2 positive pole magnets meet they repel?” I answered
“Yes, there is also the electric force. When a proton (which is positively charged) meets another proton, they repel. Basically the same case for magnets.
“Wait. Aren’t they located inside the nucleus, which makes them close, if the protons repel each other. Why do atoms exist?” I asked
“That is a good question. In fact they repel each other with the force of 9 newtons. Which is more than enough to lift a pencil”
“Really?! They repel each other that strongly?” I asked

“Yes, but thanks to the strong force, we could exist. Long story short, strong force is the force that makes protons and neutrons attract to each other.
What if this force weakens or strengthens?
If this weakens by only 1% weaker, oxygen(the air you exhale out), carbon and nitrogen form less in the heart of stars.
If this strengthen by only 2%, only hydrogen would exist
For the 4th force, the weak force. This force turns atoms into other atoms.

If this force is more powerful, then almost all of hydrogen becomes helium. And because water is composed of hydrogen. So there will be less water. if this force is weaker. Then there will be a lot more of neutron”
“Wow… our universe is really that perfect” I said
“Yes, it is still a mystery how those constants are so perfect.
There is a theory that states there are more than 1 universe. Maybe there are uncountable universes where life doesn't exist.”
“Now, let's see how rare life is in the universe.
To make life, you need water.
Why water? Water can dissolve chemicals, so they can interact freely. Then, you need chemicals like carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur. Why those chemicals? So cell, DNA, proteins and other stuff for life develop

And finally, you need energy. Usually in the form of light from a star.
This is for heating the water into a liquid state. So those chemicals can rearrange themself. And energy for life to do things, walk, talk, eat etc” she said
“So, if I make a planet near a star, it has water and chemicals. Do I have life?” I asked
“No, you need more than that. Such as : a planetary magnetic field to protect from radiation, a stable temperature, and time. Like you need around 1 billion years for chemicals to develop.” she said
“Wow… life is really that rare…” I said
“Let's just imagine the journey of one of your atoms.

1st, it was created a few thousand years after the big bang. After that, it settles in a nebula and collapses to form a star. The atom now becomes carbon. And the star exploded, throwing the atom into the Milky Way.
Now, the atoms go into a nebula. And the nebula becomes the solar system. The carbon atoms now reside on earth, the carbon atom seen as the 1st bacteria forms, the 1st flower bloom. And finally, this atom settles in you. Now imagine every trillion trillion or more atoms in your body. Imagine each of their journeys to get to you.”
“Even if someone said you're ugly. Just think about the complexity of you.
Inside of you, billions of tiny machines operate. Each carries its own job, one converts light into energy. Another creates protein for you to live.

“So you are basically a one in a billion. You are special, you are living. Which is already rare. Rarer than diamond in the universe.
And you are a diamond in my heart. So pretty and elegant, with little to no imperfection. So are you beautiful?” she said
“Yes” I said
“That's good to hear” she said
“even though i had a tough life, the world isn’t that bad”
